Smart Practice, is RIBA’s annual national conference for practitioners; it has a forward-looking, strategic focus. The steering group play an instrumental role in shaping the content for this year’s conference, including selecting the speakers.

This year’s Smart Practice Conference takes on the theme ‘New Ways of Working’. The conference will explore new ways of working through collaboration and design integration for manufacture – investigating new potentials for smart practice.

“The way we practice as architects and professionals is rapidly changing with the advancement of digital tools. Strategic government documents refer to terms like ‘Digital Twin’ and ‘Intelligent Environments’ and aspects of (architect’s) digital ability are becoming essential part of how we design and manufacture buildings but also the way we inhabit them.”
