We’re attending this year’s BCO Conference in Manchester. Taking place between 14-16 June, the event is regarded as one of the property sector’s leading events, attracting key players from all parts of the office industry.

The team attending are CEO Darren Comber, Business Space Director Nick Ridout, Director Ed Hayden and Head of Workplace Interior Design Beatriz Gonzalez.

If you are interested in meeting up to discuss opportunities or want to find out more about our insights, research and expertise within the workplace get in touch.

It’s been a busy time for the Business Space team. This year we had three of our completed projects shortlisted in this year’s BCO Awards – arm HQ at Peterhouse Technology Park, 5 Foundation Park in Maidenhead and Expedia Group's new London HQ in the Angel Building.

We continue to win more retrofit and refurbishment work, key to creating a sustainable built environment. Whilst many of these projects are under strict NDA’s, here are just a few we can currently being worked on:

Adelaide House, London

London’s first steel framed building, arguably the oldest skyscraper. The Grade II Listed building on London Bridge is undergoing a complete refurbishment. Built in the1920’s with a rooftop putting green, rose garden and beehives, our refurbishment will once again put occupant wellbeing at its center.

Fleet Place House, London

Completing this month, the refurbishment of the nine storey Fleet Place House on Holborn Viaduct will bring new life into the 22-year-old building.

1000 Aztec West, Bristol

Retaining much of the existing1980’s structure, our extensive refurbishment uses a fabric-first approach, with passive design measures to create a highly energy efficient office building.

Providing spaces and environments for employee wellbeing is resulting in a fundamental shift in design priorities. From re-imagining the business park of the future to incorporating biodiverse landscapes, each puts the occupier's wellbeing at the centre. Here are a few recent and current projects that explore these areas.

1-21 Cambridge Science Park

This two building gateway into Cambridge Science Park provides over 200,000 sq ft of work and life science space and is the latest phase of the expansion masterplan we are helping TusPark realise. To date we’ve designed and delivered six buildings on the Park – that’s over 450,000 sq ft of workspace.

Foundation Park, Maidenhead

Following the shortlisting of 5 Foundation Park in this year’s BCO Awards, the next building for client J.P Morgan Asset Management is now onsite, with two more on the drawing board. They are integral to the re-imagining of the Park; offering a huge array of amenities, wellbeing facilities and green spaces.

1-3 Foundation Park

CABI HQ, Oxfordshire

Recognised in a number of industry awards, this low carbon HQ integrates experimental bio-diverse landscape with a collaborative flexible working environment.

It’s been a really successful few months for our Interior Design team, with a number of projects recognised in multiple industry awards:

Expedia Group, London

Currently Shortlisted for the Mixology Awards and a Finalist at this year’s regional BCO Awards. Expedia Group’s EMEA HQ located in the Angel Building supports a positive culture. With 'wonderlust' designed floors, a roof terrace bar, multi-use event spaces and a café together with retreats that promote wellbeing and collaboration.  Responsible for creating Expedia Group’s Global Design Guidelines, we’ve rolled out designs in 6 of their global locations.

Chaucer HQ, London

Currently a Finalist in this year’s Mixology Awards, the Chaucer office was designed over the pandemic, with a detailed workplace strategy carried out by our Design Strategy Unit resulting in a design that evolved to reflect a shift to new ways of working with more collaborative, social interaction spaces provided.

Design Strategy Unit is our collaborative partnership with iPWC. It’s helping Corporate Occupiers address the challenges they are currently facing.  Uniquely we offer a continuity of service, providing the engagement, analysis and seamless delivery of your workplace strategy in parallel with test fits and interior design to reimagine your workplace.
