Thijs joined Scott Brownrigg in February 2019. Based in the Amsterdam studio, he currently works within the Advanced Technologies team, designing and delivering business space, masterplanning and data centre projects. 

His previous cross-sector experience encompasses Aviation work, including the concept vision and masterplan for the 550 ha Millenium Airport City terminal and associated infrastructure in Bucharest and Lead Architect on the renovation and extension of Terminal 1 Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands. He also has residential, mixed use and retail experience. 

Thijs aspires to be a ‘good all-rounder’ and has particular strengths in concept design, design management and coordination. He enjoys working across multiple sectors, especially on projects with ambitious sustainable goals.

He has been a visiting lecturer at the Department of Architecture at the TU Delft since 2017.
