Constructing Excellence in Wales’ G4C Wales (Generation for Change) is a driving force in Welsh construction with a focus on the industry’s young professionals who have an interest in the Welsh built environment. The second annual G4C Awards shortlist has just been announced, with Scott Brownrigg architects Victoria Savage and Jo Hart both featuring. The awards seek to showcase the talent of the young people in the Welsh construction industry.

Future Leader Award
Architect Jo Hart has been shortlisted for the Future Leader Award. This category is looking for the person that best demonstrates a positive impact on their peers, their organisation and the wider industry, against current G4C priority areas of people development, sustainability and innovation.

Jo has been shortlisted following her instrumental role in the delivery of the new London Design and Engineering UTC in London, amongst other schemes. The application also credited her role as Guest Speaker at the 2018 Education Construction Network, and her assistance at the BIM Workshop at this year’s Education Buildings Wales.

New Professional of the Year
Architect Victoria Savage has been shortlisted for the New Professional of the Year Award. This category considers candidates who have completed professional studies within the construction and the built environment sector within the past 36 months, and who demonstrate excellence in the industry: striving to make great contributions to the industry while demonstrating exemplary performance in their field of expertise standing out from their peers

Victoria has been shortlisted for her diligence and appetite for new challenges. Her experience working on past projects, including Ditton Park Academy, have also been taken into consideration.

The award winners will be announced on 12 September at the Senedd, Cardiff.
