Future Cities Forum: Science Cities

Share this:

On Thursday 9 February, Director Ed Hayden will join Future Cities Forum for a panel discussion about Science Cities at Newnham College, University of Cambridge.

The City of Cambridge’s science development success has led to over-heating and scarcity in terms of affordable housing and good transport. Yet the city remains as an attractor for international talent and leading life sciences and tech companies. Other innovation clusters in the ‘Golden Diamond’ such as Stevenage could take some of the pressure off in providing lab and office space, and are planning for good public realm and cultural amenities.

Together the panel will explore how we can design and plan thriving environments with healthy and flexible workplaces and campuses for world class R&D - attracting both large and small employers.
