Scott Brownrigg’s Interior Design team have been appointed as the fit-out designer of G-Research’s new prominent Headquarters at 1 Soho Place.

Taking the top six floors of the Derwent London development, the move will amalgamate a broad property portfolio for the leading quantitative finance research and technology firm, and allow a review of all team adjacencies to ensure cohesive working.

The design for the 102,600 sq ft office space will provide flexibility to meet the rapidly changing nature of the client’s teams and projects.

1 Soho Place sits on the corner of Oxford Street and Charing Cross Road, directly above the Tottenham Court Road Elizabeth line and Underground station. The fit-out design will seek to take advantage of the enviable views over the London skyline.

The Soho Place development is due to complete in the first half of 2022, and will total 285,000 sq ft in two buildings comprising: 1 Soho Place 192,000 sq ft of offices with 36,000 sq ft of retail space and 2 Soho Place 40,000 sq ft of theatre (which is pre-let) and 17,000 sq ft of offices.

In line with Derwent London’s Net Zero Carbon targets, the base-build is working to achieve BREEAM Outstanding and LEED Gold. Supporting this, the fit-out will also meet these targets, as well as incorporate Scott Brownrigg’s experience and expertise in WELL Building Standards.

With the appointment confirmed, we look to starting on site in January 2022.
